Poetry

Comprised of 48 recent poems, Ironically Unreal Once Forever not only represents my first collection but serves well as an introduction to my style of poetry, which some may find unusual or even inscrutable. As stated in a recent interview, the poetry is my little art project and will reveal a variety of meanings to different readers depending on their personal worldview, life experience, and familiarity with playfully experimental work such as this.

Enter this thralldom of pleasures and pains

within the dark stillness of a vast desert

The advent of the nameless beast

at the polluted crossroads of modern culture

Ensnared by manifold attachments

in the region of the changeable

At last the voice of spirit calls forth

enlightenment in the misapprehension…

Raw Art Review Winter 2020 featured my first poetry publication, “Blown Everything Energies,” also nominated for the journal’s Bukowski Award.

My second poetry acceptance also conveyed a high honor—all three submitted pieces were published by Cathexis Northwest Press. You can read Vigilant Echo, Cold Horrid Movies and Gurgled Reason here.
